Abalone Chief Sterling Silver and Turquoise Bolo Tie by N. Walley and B. Manning

Sterling silver and carved abalone shell Chief bolo tie with turquoise stones. "Made by Nelson Walley carving by Bessie Manning" (Navajo) is etched in script on the back. This unique bolo features an abalone-shell carving of a man in a chief's headdress. It is bezel-set into a silver flower-and-leaf background accented with three 6mm turquoise nuggets. The bolo is 1 15/16" long by 1 13/16" wide. The carving measures 1 5/8" long by 1 3/8" wide. "Bennett Pat. Pend" is stamped on the clasp (It's a patent for the clasp, not the bolo).
