Bear Paw Hand Stamped Navajo Sterling Silver Turquoise Buckle

Bear paw hand stamped Navajo sterling silver turquoise buckle. The artist's hallmark (W.M.) is Wilbur Musket and is stamped on the back of the buckle. "Sterling" is stamped below the hallmark. The buckle measures 2 1/2" long by 3" wide. The buckle features two beautiful polished nugget turquoise stone that are set in sawtooth bezels. They measure 8mm long by 9mm wide and 10mm long by 16mm. They are set in the shadowbox with two dewdrop beads. The bear paw claws are cut out and the oxidized background gives them definition. The silver work includes hand stamping of sun rays in both borders with a wire rope design between them. A stunning buckle! The buckle would accommodate a 1 1/2" belt.
