Large Sterling Silver Turquoise and Coral Chip Inlay Concho Belt by Corbet Joe

Large sterling silver turquoise and coral chip inlay concho belt. The artist's hallmark on the buckle (an offset "CJ") is Corbet Joe, a Diné (Navajo) artist renowned for chip inlay work. The six large oval conchos and buckle each sport a spare and elegant design of four coral triangles in the center with a turquoise geometric pattern on the edges. All are the same size, 2 7/16 " wide by 3 1/2" long. The belt bands on the concho backs are copper. These vintage conchos have been restrung on a new black leather strap. The strap is 55" long and 1 1/2" wide. The end of the strap was left intact to enable a wearer to punch custom-fitted holes. This concho belt is in good condition.
