Navajo Sterling Silver Multi Stone Inlay Belt Buckle By Peterson Chee

Navajo sterling silver multi-stone inlay belt buckle. The shop mark stamped on the back (SS) is Supersmith Inc. from Gallup, New Mexico. The artist's hallmark (Chee) is Peterson Chee, Navajo 1. The back of this piece is also stamped "Sterling." This buckle measures 1 1/2" long by 2 1/4" wide. The inside buckle clip measures 1 1/8." The multi-stone inlay consists of jet, turquoise, coral, and mother-of-pearl. This is a simple rectangular buckle design to not clash with the intricate inlay design. The design is made out of geometrical shapes, including triangles and rectangles. The inlay design covers the entire buckle except for a small silver border around the edges.
